Ministerial Statement – Gove sets out ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme

Levelling up and communities secretary Michael Gove announced to the House of Commons the launch of the “homes for Ukraine” scheme, which will partner refugees with willing hosts.

Gove told the House that the scheme will allow refugees from Ukraine to “live in the United Kingdom for up to three years” with “access to a full range of public services”.

The secretary of state explained that the scheme will “minimise beauocracy” and “answer the calls” of the compassionate British public.
