Damning Met police report suggests ‘indifference to the risk of corruption’

In a statement to the House of Commons, justice minister Kit Malthouse detailed the findings of a report into the Metropolitan Police in which the force were described as demonstrating “indifference to the risk of corruption”. 

Malthouse described the overarching conclusions of the report as “troubling”.

The minister called on the mayor or London to respond accordingly, “holding the police leadership to account”.
