BNP leader pulls out of Queen’s garden party

British National party (BNP) leader has pulled out of the Queen’s garden party, saying he did not want to embarrass the monarch.
Nick Griffin had been invited to attend by fellow BNP man Richard Barnbrook, who sits on the London Assembly.
The invite had threatened to prompt a large-scale political crisis, with Palace officials desperate to prevent the BNP leader getting a photo shot talking with the Queen.
The party is on July 21st at Buckingham Palace.
London mayor Boris Johnson had already said Mr Griffin’s presence at the event was intolerable.
