Anti-knife campaigners march to Westminster
Hundreds of anti-knife campaigners will march on Downing Street today calling for the government to do more in tackling gang violence.
The demonstration will be led by the friends and family of David Idowu, the 14-year-old boy stabbed to death in London on June 17th.
The family are to be supported by the relatives of other teenagers killed violently in the capital.
So far 21 teenagers have been killed in London this year.
Today’s demonstration will start in Southwark, south-east London, on the street where David was stabbed.
Campaigners will then walk over three miles to Westminster where they hope to deliver a letter to prime minister Gordon Brown.
