Prior to being elected to Parliament, Fuller had a career in international business and has worked across the world. He was formerly a venture capitalist, being a partner in the firm Investcorp. He also was the former Executive Chairman of the software firm, Impero.
In his younger days, Fuller was a former National Chairman of the Young Conservatives. He supported Leave in the 2016 Brexit referendum.
Fuller is a member of the Tory Reform Group, and is generally regarded to sit on the moderate wing of the party. He has been critical in the past of Immigration Detention centres.
Richard Fuller is an Officer of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Trailer and Towing Safety; and Immigration Detention. He is President of All Party Parliamentary Group on American Football.
