Mark Menzies is‌ ‌the Conservative‌ ‌MP‌ ‌for Fylde‌‌,‌ ‌having‌ ‌first‌ ‌been‌ ‌elected‌ ‌to‌ ‌Parliament‌ ‌in‌ 2010, with a  ‌majority‌ ‌of‌ 16,611.

The constituency of Fylde lies in the west of Lancashire between Blackpool and Preston, and contains the towns of Kirkham, Lytham St Annes (known for its golf course), and Freckleton.  It has been held by the Conservatives ever since the First World War.

Born‌ ‌in 1971 in Ardrossan, Scotland, Mark‌ Menzies was‌ ‌educated‌ ‌at‌ the University of Glasgow.  Before being elected to Parliament, he worked in marketing in the supermarket sector, first for Marks and Spencer, and later for Asda and Morrisons.

Menzies supported Remain in the 2016 EU referendum.  He backed Michael Gove in the 2019 Conservative Party leadership election.

He has been opposed to the practice of fracking in his constituency.

Menzies currently serves one of the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoys, with his current portfolio covering Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru

Mark Menzies is the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Latin America, Oman, Argentina, and Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Australia and New Zealand, Canada, Caribbean, the Cayman Islands, the Channel Islands, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Gibraltar, Kuwait, the Philippines,  Events, Gambling Related Harm, the Maldives, Dementia, Venezuela, and HIV and Aids.
