Greg Smith is the Conservative MP for Buckingham, having first been elected to Parliament in 2019.
The Buckingham constituency is found within the county of Buckinghamshire and covers the towns of Buckingham, Princes Risborough and the surrounding rural area. Greg was elected in the 2019 General Election with a majority of 20,411 over the Liberal Democrats. This seat was previously represented in Parliament by the then Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow.
Born in 1979, Greg Smith was educated at the University of Birmingham. He worked as a marketing and design consultant before being elected to Parliament.
Smith was elected onto Hammersmith and Fulham Council between 2006 and 2018, and was Deputy Leader of the Council between 2012 and 2014.
On the right of the Conservative party, Smith sits on the Advisory Board of Conservative Way Forward. He supported Leave in the 2016 Brexit referendum. He previously co-founded the Young Britons Foundation with Donal Blaney.
He enjoys watching motor racing, which is convenient, given that part of the Silverstone motor racing track can be found in his constituency. A McLaren supporter, he is the Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Formula One and Co Chair of the Motorsport Group.
He is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on the Channel Islands, Broadband and Digital Communication, Cerebral Palsy, Dark Skies, E-Sports, Snooker, and Zoos and Aquariums.
