Minister for business, energy and Industrial strategy, Kwasi Kwarteng, made a statement to the House of Commons, regarding Storm Eunice.
He told the House that Eunice brought “the highest speeds of wind ever recorded in England” and that the impact has been four people “tragically losing their lives” while 2% of those with power outages are yet to be reconnected.
The minister said that his government’s team are working “day and night” to get the remaining people reconnected.
