MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Elliot Colburn, told MPs that the issue with becoming involved in the debate on gender rights is that it is polarised to the point that “you are left with two options”.
Colburn explained that while this “toxic” debate plays out, trans people are stuck “in the middle of all of this” while they “just want to live their lives”.
The MP for Carshalton and Wallington pleaded that their colleagues “leed from te front” in creating a “respectful discussion”.
