PM: ‘Putin’s squalid venture should be seen to fail’
Boris Johnson says Russian president Vladimir Putin’s attack on Ukraine must “be seen to fail”
Updating the House of Commons on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the prime minister announced sanctions on “more than 100 new entities and individuals” and told MPs that “this includes all major manufacturers that support Putin’s war machine”.
Johnson stressed that while Putin is “trying to review the map of Europe in blood, his squalid venture should ultimately fail and be seen to fail”.
