Bingo company takes on Lib Dem MP
A bingo company has survived an attempt by Liberal Democrat culture spokesman Don Foster to have one of its adverts removed from the air.
Mr Foster took umbrage at Foxy Bingo’s claims it offers new users £10 free with no deposit required.
In fact, the website requires £30 in one its accounts before it pays out on cards purchased with the ‘free’ £10.
But the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) found “significant conditions” were not omitted in the ad.
The company said people could play for free on the £10 offer, but needed £30 in their account to make a claim to prevent abuse of the offer.
