Cherie Blair to make film on Christianity
Cherie Blair is contributing to a Channel 4 film focusing on the challenges faced by Christianity.
The new film will ask whether Christianity has a real future as a world religion.
Cherie, wife of former prime minister, will scrutinise issues surrounding Christianity throughout the filming of the series. She will look at Christianity’s relationship to war, genocide, and revolutionary change.
Michael Portillo and Ann Widdecombe are contributing films to the season.
Executive producer Jeremy Dear said: “Whether you’re a believer or not, the fact is that modern, secular Britain remains bound by Christianity’s formative influence on our culture and society.”
