Damian Green ally sacked

The civil servant who passed on Home Office information to Damian Green has been sacked following a disciplinary hearing today.
Christopher Galley, 26, gave the shadow immigration minister embarrassing information, including details of illegal immigrants working in the Home Office.
Mr Green’s offices were searched after a police investigation. He was but the crown prosecution service said there was insufficient evidence for a prosecution.
Mr Galley also escaped criminal proceedings but attended a disciplinary hearing today which he is understood to have lost.
A Home Office spokesperson said the department did not comment on personnel issues.
The proceedings were put on hold during the police investigation. He has been suspended on full pay since the scandal broke.
