Harman wants pimp site terminated

A California-based website which helps pimps sell women online should be shut down, Harriet Harman has told Labour delegates in Brighton.
The equality minister said Punternet, which allows men who have had sex with the women involved to post their comments online, was a “very sinister development” which had to be stopped.
“Punternet has pages and pages of women for sale in London. But Punternet is based in California so I’ve raised it with the US ambassador to London and I’ve called on California’s governor Arnie Schwarznegger to close it down,” she said.
“Surely it can’t be too difficult for the Terminator to terminate Punternet and that’s what I’m demanding that he does.”
Ms Harman’s comments came as she reviewed the government’s achievements on violence and sexual exploitation. She admitted that “not enough” progress had been made against rapists but said action on human trafficking had been stepped up.
