Aliens ‘interested in Michael Howard’

The skies above Michael Howard’s home were plagued by UFOs when the former Conservative leader was home secretary, it has emerged.
Newly published Ministry of Defence (MoD) papers show the RAF mounted an investigation into the sightings over the Folkestone MP’s home in Mr Howard’s final months in the Home Office.
Among the evidence demonstrating apparent extraterrestrial interest in Mr Howard, who Ann Widdecombe famously described as having “something of the night” about him, is a report from the East Kent UFO monitoring group.
Chris Rolfe wrote that a “large triangular shaped flying craft” had not appeared interested in its observer.
“This . has left me wondering if its purpose had something to do with Mr Howard,” he suggested.
Files released by the National Archives suggested the UFO, twice the size of a jumbo jet, hovered around 1,000ft above Mr Howard’s home in the months leading up to the Conservative government’s landslide defeat in the 1997 election.
Mr Howard has found it hard to shake off his association with paranormal activity and alien life forms. He was nicknamed ‘Vulcan’, after Star Trek’s Dr Spock, by opponents during his unsuccessful bid for the party’s leadership election eventually won by William Hague.
