Charity Commission launches bullying charity probe

The bullying charity whose intervention in the Gordon Brown bullying allegations this week caused consternation and anger across the political spectrum is being investigated by the Charity Commission.
The National Bullying Helpline’s patrons all resigned this week after chief executive Christine Pratt said it had received calls from Downing Street staff.
The Charity Commission said it had received 160 complaints about the move and was intervening to prevent any more details of calls being disclosed.
The National Bullying Helpline was temporarily suspended on Wednesday. Ms Pratt was “prepared to resign if necessary”, but a message on its website said the helpline had repoened today.
