Peace campaigner Brian Haw has lost his campaign against eviction from the grassy area of Parliament Square.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s battle to remove the protester before the Royal Wedding was upheld by the Court of Appeal.

Mr Haw will have to remove his tent from the grass, which is owned by the Greater London Authority.

But he will still be able to camp alongside other protesters on the pavement, which falls under the jurisdiction of Westminster council.

Mr Haw has been a constant sight in the Square since 2001, when he first set up his vigil against the government.
