No justification for keeping randstad contract
Commenting on reports that Randstad is to be stripped of the contract to provide the National Tutoring Programme, Dr Patrick Roach, General Secretary of NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union said:
“The NASUWT has always argued that we need a teacher-led education recovery and renewal in order to secure the best outcomes for children and young people from the disruption of the last two years.
“If the performance of Randstad, which has been handed huge amounts of taxpayers money, has been inadequate, there can be no justification for keeping their contract in place for one more day, let alone for another term.
“We cannot continue to have education recovery and catch up delivered at the expense of pupils and teachers.”
