Carney – ‘World will deviate from IEA energy scenario’

Mark Carney says the world is set to diverge from the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) long-term energy projections.

Carney, the UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, said: “I think the world is going to deviate from the IEA scenario because we are going to build additional reserves for energy security reasons.”

The former governor of the Bank of England was giving evidence to the economic affairs committee’s session on the UK’s energy supply & investment in the sector.
