Home Secretary on UK visas for Ukrainian migrants: ‘There is no confusion’

The home secretary Priti Patel announced that an “additional 100,000 will be able to seek sanctuary in the UK” following Vlademir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper raised concerns over the government’s policy being “extremely unclear” and “poorly prepared for something it has been warned about for so many weeks”.

Patel “refuted every point” made by Cooper, telling the House that there was “no confusion whatsoever”.
