Nadine Dorries put forward the bill which “invests in tomorrow’s networks” and “improve the security of consumer devices”.
The UK has “led the world” in this area, but must “evolve with the cyber landscape”, according to Dorries.
The proposed telecoms infrastructure is expected to “do a huge amount over the coming years for society at large”.
