MP calls on government to tackle ‘stain on us all’ in Islamophobia

Labour’s Ruth Jones spoke to Westminster Hall regarding the lives of Muslims in Wales, stating the importance of discussing “the hard truth’ on the matter.

Jones called for action on rising Islamophobia, which “shows no signs of abating under the Conservative government”.

The MP for Newport West took time to highlight that no government minister was present, telling the Hall that they needed to “go further” on “standing up for and ensuring the needs of Welsh Muslims”.
