MP encourages government to deliver on its ambitions on organ donation
Anthony Mangnall, the Conservative MP for Totnes, “congratulated the government on the steps that they’ve taken thus far” on organ donation, referring to the organ donation deemed consent act, which has “saved lives” by increasing the number of organ donors at death.
Mangnall continued to encourage the government to go further at making organ donation accessible by expanding the number of transplant centres across the UK from just eight.
The Conservative MP paid tribute to the Meredith Family, for their campaigning, saying that he hopes their efforts will result in “improved access”.
