287 current and former MPs sanctioned by Russia
Following prime minister’s questions, Conservative MP Michael Fabricant told the House of Commons that 287 current and former MPs will now be sanctioned by the Russian government.
The Speaker of the House that he was “alarmed” and asked the government to brief him and other MPs “rapidly”.
Labour’s Chris Bryant, who has been vocal about Russia influence for many years, told the House that he was “distressed” that he wasn’t on the list, and that he can only assume that the Russian Federation agree with his opinion that Putin is a “barbarous villain”.
