Nigel Mills MP concerned that ‘people don’t understand what they’re doing’ with their pension

Conservative MP Nigel Mills made a speech in Westminster Hall in which he raised concerns that people “don’t always understand what they’re doing” regarding their state pension.

Mills highlighted that “few actually end up having advice or guidance before taking decisions”.

The MP for Amber Valley therefore suggested that the government must give people “an even stronger nudge” to look at their options in an appointment with an adviser through “some kind of independent, impartial input available to them.
