PMQs: The ‘ostrich’ vs the ‘bankrupt shambles’
In a feisty final prime minister’s questions before the local elections, prime minister Boris Johnson and Labour leader Keir Starmer pointed the finger at one another’s parties for the cost of living crisis.
Starmer accused the PM of being an “ostrich”, with his “head in the sand” regarding the cost of living crisis, highlighting the prediction that only Russia would be having a slower economic growth than the UK in the G20.
Johnson made clear that his party “have a plan” and described Labour administrations across the country to be “a bankrupt shambles”.
