Raab agrees government must ‘continually challenge itself’ on Russian sanctions
During justice questions, Labour MP Chris Bryant suggested to the justice secretary Dominic Raab that the UK must “go even further” with sanctions on Putin and the Kremlin following their continued aggression towards Ukraine.
Bryant gave Raab many suggestions on increased sanctions including sanctioning “all Russian banks rather than just 60%”.
Raab said that he agreed that the government should “continually challenge itself” in this area, telling the House that its aims are to implement targeted auctions to “squeeze” Putin’s war machine.
