Reeves: Sunak ‘Ted Heath with an Instagram account’

Following the chancellor Rishi Sunak’s spring financial statement to the House of Commons, shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves criticised Sunak, calling him “Ted Heath with an Instagram account”. 

Reeves spoke of the missed opportunities by the chancellor, including putting a windfall tax on oil and gas producers.

The shadow chancellor told the House that while “people are worried sick, the chancellor does not understand the scale of the challenge” when it comes to the rising cost of living.
