Trevelyan rejects government complacency in helping SMEs through Brexit
During international trade questions, secretary of state Anne-Marie Trevelyan rejected the claims of shadow minister Gareth Thomas that the government had been “complacent” in supporting SMEs following Brexit.
Thomas warned that this complacency “is going to prolong the cost of living crisis”.
Trevelyan told the House that the government were “the opposite of complacent” and that her department are “keen to help businesses find markets across the globe, not only across the EU”.
