UK will support the ICC in investigating ‘barbaric’ sexual violence in Ukraine
In response to an urgent question in the House of Commons, foreign minister Vicky Ford committed the UK’s support of the ICC in a “leading” role.
The House discussed “harrowing” stories of “barbaric” acts that included Ukrainian women being raped by Putin’s soldiers “and those who weren’t executed killing themselves”.
When asked whether Putin is a war criminal, Ford explained that while “there is very strong evidence that war crimes have been committed, it will be for the ICC prosecutor to identity”.
