Zahawi: Green paper will provide ‘the right support, in the right place, at the right time’
In a statement to the House of Commons, education secretary Nadhim Zahawi announced special educational needs support that will provide “the right support, in the right place, at the right time”.
Zahawi told the House that his announced changes would “build a more inclusive and financially sustainable system” as well as clarifying roles and responsibilities for every partner in in the system with “robust accountabilities”.
Shadow secretary Bridget Phillipson, in reaction to the announcement, told the House that “it’s hard not to be optimistic” against the backdrop of a legacy of “letting down children”.
