Jerome Mayhew is the Conservative MP for Broadland, having first been elected to Parliament in 2019 with a majority of 21,861.
The Broadland constituency is found within the county of Norfolk and covers Brundall, Fakenham, Reepham, Wroxham and a number of other small towns and villages in the Norfolk Broads. Broadland is a largely rural constituency and has a high proportion of retired voters.
Born in 1970, Jerome was educated at Tonbridge School, Edinburgh University and Cranfield University. He worked as a barrister specialising in personal injury and litigation, before later becoming the Managing Director of the Go Ape adventure park company which operates zip wires in a series of forest parks.
The Register of Members Interests shows Mayhew to retain a shareholding in Go Ape.
Mayhew grew up in Kilndown in Kent, and is the son of former Conservative MP, and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Sir Patrick Mayhew. He is married to Kate and has three children.
He is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Dark Skies, Hospitality and Tourism, Financial Education for Young People, and Broadband and Digital Communications.
