Holly Mumby-Croft is the Conservative MP for Scunthorpe, having first been elected to Parliament in 2019, gaining the seat off the Labour Party with a majority of 6,451.
The Scunthorpe constituency is found to the north of Lincolnshire, and concentrates on the steel town of Scunthorpe itself, where British Steel remain a large employer. Although a Labour seat for the previous thirty years, the Conservative Party had come close to winning here in the last few General Elections.
Born in 1983, in Scunthorpe, Holly Mumby-Croft was educated at Lincoln University. Her grandfather was a steel worker in Scunthorpe, and she is the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Steel. She is also a member of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Antisemitism and Surrogacy.
In 2020 she was one of just five Conservative MPs to vote for the extension of free school meals into the school holidays.
She was elected to North Lincolnshire District council in 2015.
Mumby-Croft is married with one child. She enjoys cycling and listening to the Archers.
