A new study suggests that Brexit voting was more about “heart” than “head.”
Voters submitted anonymous reflections on why they voted to the University of Sussex’s Mass Observation Archive. Voters said that they didn’t have enough information Brexit to make a rational decision and found that they tended to vote emotionally.
The participants of the study suggested that there was a lack of coherent information about Brexit from both campaigns and the media at large, leading to using more emotional factors to decide.
