The 12th January marks the 23rd anniversary of European nations agreeing to ban the practice of human cloning.
Lord Robert Winston, an Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College London, was a key champion of the ban. The practice was fully outlawed in the UK in 2001.
Lord Winston says his opinion on human cloning hasn’t changed, citing the negative ethical implication of the process, and instead proposes that society would do better to focus on nurture over nature.
