A leading expert has said that UK Labour should learn the lessons from Welsh Labour if they hope to improve their election results in England and Scotland.
Laura McAllister, professor of public policy and governance of Wales at Cardiff University, said that by promising to enact policies such as “alleviating poverty, creating more equality, socio-economic disadvantage, and so on, then you can get real traction.”
Looking at Plaid Cymru’s disappointing performance, professor McAllister said it was difficult to “find a space in a crowded field on the centre-left.
